Olympic Weightlifting is a lifelong sport for EVERYONE and provides life changing benefit to all who participate. Whether your goal is to gain muscle mass, lose fat, gain the competitive edge in your sport or just become stronger than ever, Relentless Weightlifting WILL get you there. Our program has produce National Level Athletes and we pride ourselves on quality instruction, performance and athletic development.
Who can join and what should I expect?
Open to all members of CrossFit Yuma as well as non-members. This group focuses primarily on improving the technical execution of the snatch, clean & jerk and related lifts. This program is intended to supplement your regular sport training regimen and improve explosiveness, strength, and coordination in addition to improving comfort with the lifts.
Relentless Weightlifting Club meets three times per week for 90 minutes each session. Programming is focused on the needs of the group, along with necessary modifications for individual athletes, and varies weekly. In each session athletes can expect to snatch or clean & jerk, perform dynamic pulling drills, and perform skill transfer drills and other supplemental exercises for the Olympic lifts.
For athletes interested in more focused and/or more frequent training on the Olympic lifts, our expert coaching staff will design a program suited to your specific needs and goals, and the platforms will be available to athletes following those programs 5-6 days a week.
Individuals with little or no prior experience with the Olympic lifts will be required to attend three one on one sessions with Coach Mike.
